What the deal is

Botanics are the fabric of Australian music now. Since their debut album release in 2005, these three unique artists from Sydney have been weaving their own thread into not only the Australian hip-hop community (sharing stages with too many to mention, from The Herd to Koolism), but the wider Australian music family( playing festivals such as The Great Escape, triple j rotation, Channel V, Fuel TV…). Jammed full of serious songs hard to come by, and stitched up with a live show second to none, Botanics’ touring and releases have made them a one-of-a-kind act in Australia.

This has not been more evident than when Botanics completed recording their brand new sophomore album at the start of 2009. One thing about this album is that it captures sounds and song writing that have not been heard in this country. To match these extraordinary recordings, Botanics will be unveiling the album in a three part series, with Part 1 ‘What the Deal Is’ marked with a release date of April 20, 2010.
